Our 2nd year Anniversary.
We went to Embarcadero, had dinner in a nice restaurant (I think it was Eagle Cafe) with a breathtaking view of the sea. We also went inside the Aquarium of the Bay. It was very exciting! We were especially looking forward to see the seven- gilled shark and leopard sharks. We had an awesome time!
We went down into crystal clear tunnels and I felt like a mermaid watching the sea teeming with marine life. YIPEE!
Seven-Gilled Shark, Sevengill Shark, Spotted Cow Shark, Spotted Seven-Gilled Shark,
The sevengill shark is currently assessed as "Near Threatened" in the eastern Pacific Ocean. During the 1930s and 1940s, the sevengill shark was quite common in the shark fisheries along the coast of California. The California population of sevengill sharks appears to be concentrated in the Humboltd and San Francisco Bays.
